ヴァイオリンコンサート「マンハッタンストーリー」。
ニューヨークに暮らす人間模様と音楽を絡めて、最後まで一気に聴かせる物語。
45分間一切の休憩をはさまず、拍手もできない。
演奏が始まると、ヴァイオリン奏者の小さな身体がふたまわり大きく見える。
一緒に会場に行った友人の横側が、チラチラと視界に入ってくる。
人よりはるかに鋭い感性を持っている彼女は、
音楽や空気の色までも感じ取ることが出来るのだ。
コンサート中に何度か、彼女の頬に涙が伝う。
音楽や人のエネルギーが、パッっと一つになった時に、
自然と涙が溢れ出てくるのだという。
それを見て、周囲もどんどん気持ちが高まっていく。
溢れ出る感情を外に表現する、いろんな方法がある。
なかでも音楽は、天国に一番近くまで届くアートなのだと思う。
"Manhattan story" was Eiko Kano's violin concert, supported by NPO "MSTERIO".
It was a story that mixed music with people living in New York, and they play
the story all at once.
The show will not catch any breaks for 45 minutes and audience can not clap.
When the performance began, the small body of the violinist looked bigger.
The silhouette of my friend who went to the venue together sometimes came
into my sight.
She has much sharper sensibility than general people,
and she can also sense the color of music and air.
I saw her tears were transmitted to her cheeks several times during the concert.
When music and people's energy got together one by one,
she said that tears were overflowing naturally.
Looking at her, the surroundings were getting more and more excitement.
There are various ways to express overflowing emotions outside.
I think music is the art that arrives nearest to heaven.
