紛争や危機的状況にある子どもたちへの救助活動を行うリハビリ施設。
それが「ドイツ国際平和村」。
紛争地域や、貧困のため医療制度がない国から、
年に３回、300人の子ども達を飛行機でデュッセルドルフに運び、
ドイツ国内の100箇所の病院で手術や治療を受けさせる。
子ども達が自国へ帰る前の1年間を一緒に過ごすのが「ドイツ国際平和村」。
パスポートがなくても、難民の子どもでも、受け入れるのは、
過去の戦争に対する、ドイツ政府による、せめてもの償いなのだと。
これまでに２万人のこどもの命を繋いだ国際平和村は、
今年51年目を迎えた。
長く続けることではなく、戦争がなくなり、村がなくなることが目的。
子ども達は、いずれ自国に帰って行く。
ドイツの優しさを伝えながら、平和の大使に育っていく子どもたち。
その後、大人になって、武器を持った子どもは1人もいない。
「ドイツ国際平和村」を知った私たちに、何ができるだろう。
まずは知ること、そして、伝えること。
今月末に「ドイツ国際平和村」へ足を運ぶことになった私たちが、
子どもたちへできる、せめてものクリスマスプレゼント。
「手品」を教えて、小さな自信と勇気を送りたい。

「Japan国際平和こども王国」の設立に向けて、大きな力が動き出している。
"Frieden Sdorf International (German International Peace Village" is the rehabilitation facility that carries out rescue activities to children in conflict and crisis situations.
From conflict areas and countries without medical system due to poverty,
Three times a year, 300 children are carried to Dusseldorf by plane.

"Frieden Sdorf International" is the place that children spend the year together before they return home.

They grow up as ambassadors of peace while telling the kindness of Germany.
