昨年６月、折しも私の誕生日だった。
マンハッタンのダウンタウンで、まったく色気のない体育会系がっつりランチ。
ニューヨークの市場調査に来たという彼らのリクエストに応えて、
揚げ物、焼き物、肉、肉、魚。デザートまで食べ尽くした。
日本にある焼肉屋オーナーと聞いていたけれど、
関西弁でのノリの良いトークにすっかり惹きこまれ、あっという間に親しくなった。
その強面からは想像できないほどの繊細な気遣いや、体育会系の礼儀正しさは、
きっとすぐに地元の人にも愛されるだろうと確信した。
日本でも再会し、いろんな談義を繰り返した。
先週末、彼らのお店がついにオープンした。
あれから一年足らずで、ここまで持ってこられたのは、
彼らの実力と、それを支える力強いサポーターの存在に他ならない。
立ち上げ前からの苦労を知っているからこそ。
これからもずっと応援していきたい。
あっという間に予約の取れないお店になっていくのだろう。
またニューヨークでひとつ、新しい歴史が作られる。
I remember well that day.
It just happened on my birthday.
We ate the men's lunch at downtown in Manhattan.
In response to their request that came to New York market research,
Fried, grilled, meat, meat, fish. We were exhausted to eat until dessert.
I was heard that they were the owners of BBQ restaurants in Japan.
We became quickly acquainted with talk in good tempo of Kansai dialect.
They have more delicate care and the politeness of the athlete, that people
cannot be imagined from their figure.
I was convinced they would surely be soon also loved by locals.
Also we reunited in Japan, and we were repeated a lot of lecture.
Last weekend, their BBQ restaurant has finally opened.
Because of their ability and strong support,
It was happened in less than one year since our lunch party.
Because I know the struggle from the previous launch precisely,
I would like to support them much in the future.
It will become a shop that cannot be taken a reservation quickly.
A new history in New York will be created.
