東京サミット本番の朝、友人の選挙事務所に向かった。
早朝８時半から開票が始まり、10時頃から１時間おきに速報が入る。
予測していた以上に厳しい戦況に、事務所の空気がどんどん濁っていく。
午前11時、後ろ髪を引かれながら、私は議員会館に向かった。
地下鉄の中では同級生のLINEトークが飛び交い、緊張感もマックスに。
確かな情報が分からないまま、サミット打ち合わせが始まると、
私は一切の気持ちを切り替えて、イベント成功のためだけに集中した。
映像リハの直前に、ようやく当確の情報が手元に届いた。
最終議席を争って勝ち取った、「一票の重み」をズシリと感じる結果。
まっすぐに、ひたむきに、区政と向き合ってきた４年間。
外へのアピールをする時間がなかったと反省する彼を、
同級生と周囲の仲間たち、みんなで応援した、奇跡の勝利。
誰か一人でも欠けていたら、この結果は得られていなかったことは明確。
区政に政党なんか関係ない。信頼できる仲間だから応援する。
そんな気持ちに寄り添ってくれた大切な仲間たちと、最後の夜に乾杯。
この先の４年間、またどんな試練が待ち受けていようとも、
挑戦を続けようとする仲間のために、私たちは尽力していくのだろう。
30年という歴史が積み上げた信頼関係は、きっと揺るぎない。
I went to the election office of my friend on the morning of the Tokyo Summit.
Elections began at 8:30 in the early morning, and bulletins came in every 1 hour from around 10:00.
The air of the office was getting more and more dulled by the harsher than expected condition.
At 11 am, I was headed to the parliament hall with my anxious.
In the subway, my classmate's LINE talks flew around, and the tension also got max.
When the summit meeting started before I got a certain information,
I changed my mind and concentrated on the success of the event.
Just before the video rehearsal, finally the correct information had arrived.
The result made us feeling about the "weight of one vote" as he won by competing for the last seat.
Straightly, for four years that he had been facing the administration of the district.
He regretted that he did not have time to appeal outside.
The victory of a miracle, supported by a classmate and his friends all around.
If anyone was missing, it was clear that this result was not obtained.
It has nothing to do with the constituency.
