日曜日の早朝６時過ぎ、我が家のボーイズがソーッと出かける準備をする。
私はベッドで寝たふりして、その様子を伺う。
いつもは喧嘩してばかりなのに、テニスに行く時だけは協力的。
先月まではブロンクスのパブリックコートに通っていたけれど、
この季節はさすがに北風が厳しすぎる。
久しぶりに、ニュージャージーの室内コートへ同伴する。
父親と激しく打ちあう息子たち。
ボールを打ち返せずに、泣いて、いじけていたのが懐かしい。
ここでも、母親の威厳を保つことは諦めた。
いつか巣立つ時まで、せめて美味しい御飯を作って待っていよう。
After 6 o'clock on Sunday morning, my boys prepare to go out.
I pretend I fell asleep in bed and I wonder how it is going.
Even though they have always fought, they cooperative only when they go to tennis.
Until last month they went to the Bronx's public tennis court.
Recently the North Wind has been too severe.
I was accompanied with them to the indoor tennis court of New Jersey.
I remembered that my sons could not hitting the ball.
They cried and gave up soon.
But now, they have been fiercely play tennis with their father.
Again, I gave up keeping mothers dignity.
Until one day they leave from home, I will wait them by making delicious food at least.
