「ニューヨークの人逹に作品を見てもらいたい」
アーティストから相談を受けた時、私の中では具体的な構想ができていなかった。
だから、彼女が突然クラウドファンディングを始めた時に、
私は正直戸惑っていた。
リスティングされる30日間のうちに、目標額が達成されないと
プロジェクトは成立しない。
タイムリミットが迫るなか、ネガティブな意見が耳に入るたびに
私は傷心していった。
それを知っているのに、力を発揮できないことがもどかしかった。
最後の数日間、何とか力を貸してくれないかと声を張り上げた。
ラストの数十分で大きな額を投入してくれたのは、四半世紀以上会っていない
小学校の同級生達だった。
クラウドファンディングとしてのプロジェクトは成立したけれど、
私の心は重く、プレッシャーで押しつぶされていった。
どんな成果を報告すれば、ファンダーの皆さんは喜んでくれるだろうか。
夏の帰国時に、協力してくれた同級生達一人一人に直接会って、
御礼を伝えて歩いた。
皆笑って「頑張っている人を応援している貴女を応援するよ」と。

「カフェやレストランに自分の絵を飾ってもらいたい」
アーティスト自身、そのハードルの高さを痛感したであろうけれど、
次に繋がる学びはたくさんあったと願いたい。
個展を開催し、ニューヨーク発のホームページで成果を報告する。
何かを始めるのに遅すぎることはない。
具体的に動けば、必ず次が動き出すから。

マンハッタンの学校に飾られることになった。

When I was consulted from the artist, it had not been able to concrete
initiative myself.
So, when she suddenly started to the cloud-funding,
I was puzzled honesty.

Among the time limit was approaching, I was nervous every time I hear
a negative opinion.
I was irritating that I could not exert my power even though I knew it.
Last few days, I put up my maximum energy to get somehow force.
My elementary school classmates whom I had not seen them more than
a quarter of a century, invested the large amount in a few minutes of the last.
Although the project as a cluod-funding was succeeded,
My heart was be crushed by the pressure.
I did not know what I should report to the funders.
During the summer of returning home, I directly met each classmate
who had cooperated,
I walked to convey thanks face-to-face.
Everyone said, "I cheer you because you support the people who work hard."

"I want to ask to decorate my art works at the cafes and restaurants in New York."
Artists herself, had keenly aware of the height of the hurdle,
But I hope it leads to the next opportunity.
She held a solo exhibition, and reported the results in the website from New York.
It is never too late to start something.
If you move specifically, always the following something starts to move.
