今夏の日本、とにかくよく台風がやって来た。
７月イベント前日、西日本での大雨被害。
新幹線が止まって、登壇者とは電話で打ち合わせしただけ。
沖縄行きは、当日朝まで飛行機のキャンセルが続いた。
幸運なことに、私達のフライトは、強風の合間を縫って着陸できた。
札幌からの帰りは、台風が来る前にと朝から何時間も空港に並んだ。
最後まで粘って、アップグレード費用を払って、何とか乗せてもらった。
その次の便から夜遅くまで、フライトは全便キャンセルになった。
「地球こどもサミット」当日は、台風直撃の予報が出ていた。
こども達のパワーで、サミットは無事終了し、皆帰宅できた。
家族がNYに戻る時、台風の影響で使用機材の到着遅れ。
そこから十数時間の長旅は、やはり身体にこたえる。
自然の力には敵わない。ただ、それに従うだけ。
運は引き寄せられるけれど、運命は変えられない。
Japan this summer, a typhoon came frequently.
The day before the July event, heavy rain damage in western Japan happened.
The bullet train stopped and I had a conference call with my partner only 10 mins.
When we went to Okinawa, the cancellation of the plane continued till the morning of the day.
Fortunately, our flight could land between strong winds.
The return from Sapporo, we lined up at the airport for hours from the morning, before the typhoon came.
We kept till the end, paid for the upgrade fee, we managed to get it on.
From the next flight until late at night, the flight was canceled all the way.
On the day of the "The Earth Children Summit", we had a forecast of a direct typhoon hit.
With the power of children, the summit ended successfully, everyone was able to go home.
When family returned to NY, the airplane delayed of arrival of equipment used due to typhoon.
After 14 hours' long trip from there, the body would be very tired.
There is no enemy for the power of nature. we just follow it.
We can call luck, but we cannot change our fate.
