藤原紀香氏がJALの沖縄キャンペーンガールだった時代に、
取材させていただいたことがあった。
人前でお話されることもあまり慣れていなくて、緊張感がいっぱい、
非常に初々しい印象だった。
15年ぶりにすぐそばでお話されたその堂々たる姿に、
芸能界で生き抜いてきた彼女の芯の強さを垣間見る思いだった。
アフガニスタンはじめ戦地の子供達のために、学校作りを主とした
ボランティア活動を続けているなかで、
たくさんの体験を重ねてきたストーリーが、次々とお披露目される。
サプライズゲストはジャズピアニストの大江千里氏。
阪神淡路大震災の復興支援では、ミュージシャンと一般人だった二人が、
今は熊本震災復興支援のために、一緒に旋律を奏でる。
これほど多くの日本人がニューヨークの一堂に会する機会も珍しく、
協賛された企業の懐の深さに、改めて感激。
ニューヨークから祖国にエールを送る日本人の想いが、
きっと届きますように。
In the period that Norika Fujiwara was the Okinawa campaign Girl of JAL,
There was an opportunity that we were allowed to interview.
She was not too accustomed to be talked about in public.
It was full of tension, and very innocent impression.
After 15 years, there was an imposing her figure that had been talked about
in the immediate vicinity.
We were glimpsed of the strength of her core that has survived in the
entertainment industry.
For the children in Afghanistan or battlefield, she was mainly making school.
She unveiled one after another that she has continued to volunteer activities,
over a lot of experience.
The surprise guest, a jazz pianist, Mr. Senri Oe came to the last.
In the reconstruction assistance of the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake,
Mr. Oe was a musician, and Ms.Fujiwara was a general public.
For now Kumamoto earthquake reconstruction assistance, they played the
melody together.
Such an opportunity that so many Japanese met together in New York was
very uncommon.
We were also inspiring the depth of the bosom of sponsorship companies.
We hope our feeling from New York will reach to our homeland.
