福島県で300年の歴史を誇る大堀相馬焼は、二重構造の特徴でも有名。
東北大震災で壊滅的被害を受け、７年の歳月が流れた今春、
松永窯４代目・松永武士氏より御連絡をいただいた。
毎年NYで開催される「311追悼式典」でスピーチをされた時に出会い、
いつかNYデビューの際には応援するからという約束を覚えていてくださった。
「ここからできる震災復興支援」
必ずや素敵なイベントにしようと、仲間探しからその企画は始まった。
まずは、予算とお店の都合で、会場選びに苦労した。
足を使って、たくさんのシェフに説明したけれど、
最低営業補償額を提示されるたびに凹んだ。
SAKAMAIの秋山シェフが、イベントの趣旨に賛同してくださった時に、
まず第一段階はクリアーだった。
スタッフが皆あたたかくて、心強い仲間が出来たことに勇気付けられた。
集客当初の手応えが悪かったのは、きっと私の文面の拙さから、
イベントの趣旨をきちんと伝えきれなかった責任があった。
超零細企業の私たちには、足を使ってのドブ板営業しかできないから、
会費以上の価値ある機会だということを説明してまわった。
結果、当初25席限定の予定が、当日は32席まで増席するほどの大賑わい。
冷たい雨の降る11月、平日にも関わらず会場には熱気が溢れていた。
外側は同じで内側の構造が異なる３種類の杯「IKKON」。
温度や口当たりで、同じ日本酒を違った風合いでお楽しみいただいたり、
新鮮な刺身と純米酒には「ストレート」、
塩気の多い料理と大吟醸酒に似合う「ナロー」、
本醸造と肉料理には旨味を引き出す「ラウンド」をお勧めしたりもした。
熱心にメモを取るメディアの方々、新しい出会いを楽しむゲストの方々。
大切な時間を使ってお越しくださった一人一人に、
少しでも幸せな時間を共有できたという連帯感を持ち帰っていただきたい。
そのことだけに集中して、時間が流れていった。
大堀相馬焼の看板を背負って世界に挑戦していく日本の若き侍を、
これからもどうか見守っていてください。

Obori Soma Pottery, which boasts 300 years of history in Fukushima Prefecture, is famous for its double structure characteristics.
Seven years have passed since the Tohoku earthquake disaster catastrophically damaged,
Mr. Matsunaga Pottery 4th generation, Mr. Takeshi Matsunaga, contacted me this spring.
We met when he attended at "311 Memorial Ceremony" held in NY every year,
we remembered our promise that I will cheer for his NY debut someday.
"Earthquake disaster reconstruction support that can be done from here"
We started looking for team members to make the project a nice event.
Firstly, due to the budget and the convenience of the restaurant, I had difficulty in selecting the venue.
I explained to many chefs with face to face.
It was depressed whenever minimum offer compensation amount was offered.
When Mr. Akiyama, the chef of Sakamai restaurant, agreed with the purpose of the event, the first step was clear.
All the staff were warm and encouraged me.
The reason for the poor response at the beginning of attracting customers was certainly due to the unclearness of my writing,
I blamed myself for not being able to tell the purpose of the event properly.
We could only do business in face to face as a micro company.
We explained that it would a worthwhile opportunity than party fee.
As a result, the schedule limited to 25 seats at the beginning, it was full of bustle enough to seat up to 32 seats on the day.
In cold rainy November, despite weekdays the venue was full of enthusiasm.
Three types of cups "IKKON" with the same outside and different inside structure.
By temperature and touch feeling of edge of glass, you enjoy the same sake in different feeling.
His recommendation is the follows;
"Straight" for fresh sashimi and Junmai sake,
"Narrow" which matches salty meals and Dai-Ginjo sake,
"Round" to bring out the taste for Jojo sake and Umami of meat .
There are media people who enthusiastically took notes, and people who enjoyed new encounters.
To each person who came by using an important time,
I wanted to bring back a sense of solidarity that we could share a happy time even a little.
Focusing on that alone, time went through.
