金魚と和をモチーフにした水中アート展示会「アートアクアリウム」。
12年目を迎える今年は、「真の日本」をテーマに、
日本橋、名古屋、上海の３都市で開催されている。
日本橋会場のテーマは、「江戸・金魚の涼」。
エントランスを抜けるとすぐに「天井金魚」が頭上に広がる。
本来、腹部しか見えないはずなのに、
プリズムガラスに反映されて、美しく泳ぐ姿が見て取れる。
「フローティングリウム」「アースアクアリウム・ジャポニズム」
「超・花魁」「床掛け金魚飾り」
江戸切子や九谷焼といった日本の伝統工芸を愛でながら、
作品ひとつひとつに、プロデューサー木村英智氏の世界観を想像する。
本会場の最大の見どころは「大政奉還金魚大屏風」。
18面の屏風にプロジェクションマップを投影しつつ、金魚を泳がせる。
大政奉還の時代を区切りに、日本のアートシーンが再現される様子は圧巻。
自然界の生き物とアートを共存させること。
一秒として同じシーンを繰り返すことのない生き物の美しさに、
人間が少しだけ手を加えて、その魅力を増幅させる。
日本庭園でも池の上から眺めることしかない観賞用の金魚や錦鯉を、
四方八方から眺めながら、万華鏡の世界にワープした時間が過ぎてゆく。
