2019年に拙著を原作としたミュージカルが上演された。
全11回の東京公演の後に、大阪、名古屋、北九州で公演の予定が、
直前になってすべての地方公演を延期せざるを得ない状況が表面化した。
私は原作使用許諾をしただけで、当初は制作には関わっていなかったけれど、
トラブルを解決するために、最後の最後まで伴走して、息が途絶えた。
伝えたかったテーマを、本当に伝えることができたのだろうか。
本を読まない人たちに、世界を広げてもらうことができたのだろうか。
私一人の力では何もできない。
小さな声でささやいていたら、力強く背中を押してくれる人たちがいた。
もっと新しい伝え方ができるのではないか。
ぜひ自分たちに挑戦させてほしいと、手をあげてくれる人たちがいた。
新しい仲間たちと、新しい企画がスタートした直後のコロナ禍。
目的地は決まっているのに、前に進めない大航海。
それでも、諦めない。
2021年の春、ようやくひとつが形になります。
「新作ミュージカル（タイトル未定）」上演決定。
会場で、オンラインで、皆様にお伝えできる機会を楽しみにしています。

We staged a musical based on my books in 2019.
After a total of eleven performances in Tokyo, it was scheduled to be performed in Osaka, Nagoya, and Kitakyushu.
However, it came to light that all the local performances had to be postponed at the last minute.
I had only given permission to use the original work, and I was not involved in the production initially, but I accompanied the project until the very end to solve the trouble, and then I worked in all fields with my best.
I wondered if I had really been able to convey the theme I wanted to convey or not.
I wondered if I had been able to broaden the world of those who do not read books or not.
I can't do anything on my own.
When I whispered in a small voice, some people strongly pushed me forward.
I think we can find new ways to communicate.
Some people raised their hands and said, "Let us challenge ourselves.
There has been the COVID-19 pandemic just after the started of a new project with new friends.
We knew where we were going, but we couldn't move forward.
Still, we never gave up.
In the spring of 2021, one thing will finally take the result.
We will stage a new musical (title undecided).
We are looking forward to the opportunity to tell you about it at the venue and online.
