胃癌発症率の高い日本では、人間ドックに胃カメラは付きものだが、
米国では大腸癌の方が懸念されるから、大腸の内視鏡検査。
予防医学の発達した日本に比べて、米国はとにかく対症療法。
悪くなって初めて、保険適応の範囲内で病院に行く。
内視鏡検査が嫌なのは、前日の地獄のような時間。
死ぬほど不味い下剤を流し込み、トイレから離れられない夜。
世の中で、たった一人のような気持ちになる。

American people do the endoscopy of the colon, because colon cancer is more of a concern in the United States.
Compared to Japan, where preventive medicine is well-developed, the United States deals with coping anyway.
Only when they get worse do they go to hospital within insurance coverage.
What dislikes endoscopy is the time of hell the day before.
I had a terrible night when I couldn't leave the toilet, pouring in unpalatable laxatives.
I felt like a single person in the world.
