航空会社での乗務新人訓練時、「カスタムス」という授業があった。
世界中の国々に出入国する際の、様々な法規について学ぶものだった。
米国の入国審査では「First Port of Entry」が原則。
最初に入国する土地で、イミグレーション審査を受ける。
最終目的地で受けるつもりでいると、乗り継ぎ時間が間に合わない。
メキシコからの帰り道。
シャーロット空港（ノースカロライナ州）での乗り継ぎが１時間しかなかった。
受託荷物もピックアップして、税関審査を受けなくてはならない。
国内線ターミナルへ移動したら、少なくとも２時間はかかるだろう。
きっと間に合わない。
前途多難な気持ちで朝早く空港に向かったら、
予定していた飛行機が遅延しているからと、
別の直行便に振り替えてくれた。
おかげで何のトラブルもなく、昼前には自宅に到着。
新年早々、素敵な取り計いに恵まれた。
今年はきっと幸先が良い。
When you train newcomers at airline companies, there was a lesson called "customs".
We learned about various laws and regulations when entering and leaving countries
all over the world.
In the US immigration review, "First Port of Entry" is the principle.
We will get immigration judgment on land we enter first.
When you are planning to receive it at the final destination same as Japan,
the transit time will not be in time.
On the way, back from Mexico.
There was only one hour connection at Charlotte Airport (North Carolina State).
We also have to pick up consignment luggage and get a customs review.
With moving to a domestic terminal will take at least two hours.
I was sure we missed the connection flight.
Anyway, we headed to the airport early in the morning.
Because the planned airplane was delayed,
we were transferred to another direct flight.
Thanks to that happened, we arrived at our apartment before noon with no trouble.
Early in the new year, I was blessed with wonderful work.
Hope this year is surely auspicious.
