広島空港から、路線バスに揺られて小一時間。
ホテルに荷物を置いて、まず最初に向かった原爆ドーム。
トーマスが泣いていた。
その背中を見るだけで、胸が張り裂けそうになった。
「写真でしか見たことのない、戦争の爪痕がここにある」
「こんなに悲惨な体験をした人たちが、平和村を救ってくれた事実に感無量」
「どうしても、広島に御礼を伝えたかった」
平和村が、小さな声で戦争を詫びて、小さな声で御礼を言っている。
私たちは、それをしっかり日本に伝えないといけない。
明日から始まるサミットが、どんな展開になるかは分からない。
でも今ここに集まってくださった人は、みんな同じ方向を向いている。
初めての広島の夜。
月明かりが、とても美しかった。
From Hiroshima Airport, we took a route bus for an hour.
After we put our luggage at the hotel and headed to a -bomb dome first.
Thomas was crying.
Just looking at his back, my heart was almost torn.
"There is a scar of war here that we have only seen in photos."
"It was amazing that the people who have had such a disastrous experience have saved our peace village."
"I really wanted to give thanks to Hiroshima"
Thomas and the peace village apologizes for the war with a small voice and says thank you with a small voice.
We must convey it to Japan firmly.
I do not know what kind of development will be on the summit starting from tomorrow.
But I know the people who gathered here are all pointing in the same direction.
It was the first night of Hiroshima.
The moonlight was very beautiful.
