いつもの通勤電車に乗っていたら、確実に潰されていた。
その日に限って、一本早い電車に乗っていたことを知ったのは、
テロ発生後、どれほど時間が経ってからだったろうか。
2001年9月24日。
冠婚葬祭だけの付き合いの親族は一切排除して、
親しい友人と同僚達にお祝いしていただいた。
同時多発テロがなければ、人生は変わっていたかもしれない。
どれも辿ってきた人生だから。
後悔することもなく、ただ淡々と日常を過ごすのみ。
遠い夢でなく、少し先の楽しみを見つけて歩こう。
When the September 11 terrorist attacks occurred, he was right under the World Trade Center.
If he was on the usual commuter train, it was surely crushed.
It took a long time to find since I did not know that he was on one earlier train only on that day.
September 24, 2001.
We eliminated any relatives of association only for ceremonial occasions,
celebrated with close friends and colleagues.
Without September 11 terrorist attacks, my life might have changed.
Everything is a life I've followed.
With no regrets, I just spend my days every day.
