フィラデルフィアに工房を持つタイラー・ハイズ氏は、元画家であり彫刻家。
建築や設計施工にも長けている彼だからこそ、最高の家具をデザインできる。
広々とした空間で、仕切りもほとんどないのだが、
コーナーごとのテーマが明確で分かりやすい。
皮革製のチェストや、キャビネットの取っ手、手の込んだ照明家具。
どれ一つを取っても、世代を超えて使い続けられる逸品で、
丁寧にデザイン制作された、職人技術の偉大さを見せつけられる。
素敵な建築やインテリアに触れる機会が欲しくて、
ニューヨークの大学で、インテリアデザインを勉強した頃を思い出す。
今は生活優先で、気に入った家具があっても買えないけれど、
こうやって、夢をプロデユースする人たちと話ができる。
こんな積み重ねが、間接的に夢を伝える役目になっているのかもしれない。
