「スポーツの殿堂」と言われるマディソンスクウェアガーデンで、
新日本プロレス主催の「G1 SUPERCARD」が開催された。
16,000枚のチケットは即日完売、超満員の大盛況だったらしい。
歴史に残る「世紀の興行」を終えた関係者と、
ウェストビレッジの隠れ家でミートする。
私には遠い世界だけれど、なぜか御縁があるのが不思議。
母方の従兄弟のうち、ひどい喘息持ちの従弟がいた。
発作が出ると、食べられず、眠れない。
小さい頃から、強い者に憧れて、いつも漫画を描いていた。
定番テーマは、相撲とプロレス。
私はそこで、プロレスというスポーツを覚えた。
周囲にプロレス出身の友人がいたり、現役プロレスラーがいたり。
試合のリングを間近で見るのは苦手だけれど、
「気は優しくて力持ち」な彼らとの交流は、本当に楽しい。
新日本プロレスのトレーナー三澤威氏と、未来について語り合う。
「地球こどもサミット」に特別出演していただいた「ミライガー」が、
三澤氏のプロデュースだったと知って驚いた。
ここでも繋がっている。
世界は狭くて大きい。

"Miraiger" who had a special appearance at "The Earth Children's Summit",
I was surprised to know that it was produced by Mr. Misawa.
