８年前のBB KING公演にも行った。
日本でミリオンセラーの実力者が、すぐ目の前で歌ってくれる、
ライブハウスのような距離感が、Ken’s Barの魅力。
今夏のツアーは、ソニーホールで開催された。
日本からのファンクラブメンバーでVIP席は占拠されていて、
地元ニューヨーカーは立ち見するしかないという事実。
それでも、平井堅氏の高音が、たまらなく好き。
せつない歌詞に、何度も胸が締め付けられる。
一緒に行った友人の連れが、少し呆れて言う。
「彼に魅了される女性陣の幸せそうな笑顔を見ているのが楽しかったよ」
心に届く音楽は、人を幸せにする。
それが最高の褒め言葉。

Million seller 's musician in Japan sang right in front of us,
Distance feeling like a live house was the charm of Ken's Bar.
This summer tour was held at New York Sony Hall.
As VIP seats were occupied by his fan club members from Japan,
Local New Yorkers had to stand there.
Still, I love Ken Hirai's treble unbearably.
Too painful lyrics, my heart was shook many times.
A friend of a friend who went with me said a little amazedly.
"It was fun to watch the happy smile of the female fascinated by him."
Music that reached the heart made people happy.
That was the best praise.
