日本から遅れること14時間、こちらも新年を迎えた。
ニューヨークから脱出して南下したけれど、時差はない。
そんな地球に住んでいる。
幼い頃は、21世紀を迎えることすら想像できなかったけれど、
2000年をとうに超えて、2020年という節目の年までやってきた。
毎年いろんなことが起こって、いろんな経験をさせていただいて、
それでも確かに命があることに、どれほど感謝しただろう。
今ここにある命を大切に紡ぎながら、次世代に何を繋いでいけるだろう。
壮大な宇宙の中で、自分一人で出来ることは限られているけれど、
気が付けばいつも寄り添ってくれる仲間がいて、
その存在にどれほど助けられてきたことか。
これからも、自分ができることを精一杯やる。
世界中に、たくさんの笑顔が溢れるように。
人に誠意を尽くし、懸命に、タスキを繋ぐ。
2020年が、皆様にとって幸多き一年でありますように。
今年もどうぞよろしくお願いいたします。
We've welcomed a new year, 14 hours behind Japan.
I escaped from New York and went south, but there was no time difference.
I live on such an earth.
When I was young, I couldn't even imagine entering the 21st century,
It has gone beyond 2000 and has reached the milestone year of 2020.
Every year, various things happen and I have many experiences,
Nevertheless, how grateful I have a life.
What I can connect to the next generation while carefully cherishing the life here and now?
In the magnificent universe, what I can do alone is limited,
If I notice, there are always friends who will snuggle me up,
I appreciate how much they have helped me.
I will continue to do everything I can.
I hope many smiles will overflow all over the world.
I do the sincerity to the people, and pass the baton hard.
May the year of 2020 be a happy year for everyone.
