いつか訪ねてみたいと思っていた慈眼寺にお伺いした。
1000日間、1日48キロの山道を歩いて参拝する「大峯千日回峰行」。
9日間、飲まず食べず寝ず横にならずの「四無行」。
途中で辞める時には自害しなくてはならない、決死の覚悟が必要な修行。
当時の心境をお聞きしても、穏やかな答えしか返ってこないのは、
大阿闍梨が、すでに私たちとは別の世界に存在しているからかもしれない。
最高のおもてなしを受け、私に出来ることを考える。
「生命の尊さ」だけが、その答えを導いてくれると信じたい。
