年末に東京で風邪を引いた。
急な冷え込みと、ホテルの乾燥が喉にこたえた。
たった３日の滞在なのに、不調なまま過ごした。
北国で新年を迎えた後、慌ただしくニューヨークに戻った。
その日からニューヨークは急激に寒くなった。
時差ボケの頭痛を抱えたまま、日常生活に復帰。
今朝の冷え込みに愕然とした。
部屋の暖房が壊れて、凍てつく寒さで眠れなかった。
ようやくマイナス11度まで気温が上がったのは、
子供達を学校に送った後。
やはりニューヨークの寒さは厳しかった。
冬将軍の洗礼は、まだ始まったばかり。
I caught a cold at the end of the year in Tokyo.
The sudden chill outside and drying of room at hotels damaged my throat.
Even though I stayed only three days in Tokyo, I spent in worst condition.
After the celebration of New Year in Hokkaido, I returned to New York.
New York had become suddenly cold from that day.
While holding a headache of jet lag, I returned to routine life.
I was appalled by chill of this morning.
Since the heat of my apartment did not work well, I could not sleep in the
freezing cold.
Finally the temperature went up to minus 11 degrees,
It was after sending the children to school.
Absolutely the cold in New York is tough.
