昨秋、ニューヨークに来ていた従姉との会話。
「年末は暖かい所に行きたいと思って、バハマで集合ね」
「マイレージで行けるところなら、合流できるよ」
年末は、ニューヨークの寒さから逃れて、カリブ海方面へ。
蓋を開けてみると、従姉が行ったのはハバナ（キューバ）で、
私たちは、バハマ（英国加盟国）に向かっていた。笑
ニューヨークから、フライトでたったの２時間半。
白人が多く訪れる楽園の島、アジア人は本当に少ない。
目の前に広がるビーチと青い空、の予定だったのに、
ホテルの寒さで風邪を引いた私は、ずっと部屋に引きこもり。
お陰で、たまっていた仕事も出来たけれど、家族からはブーイング。
とにもかくにも、健康のありがたみを感じながら、
検疫にも引っかからずに、ニューヨークに戻った次第。
慌ててお節料理を用意して、2020年の始まりへ。
録画した紅白歌合戦を観る時間もないままに、ホリデーは終わった。
I had conversation with my cousin who came to New York last fall.
"I'd like to go to a warm place at the end of the year and get together in the Bahamas."
"If we can go by using airline's mileage, we can join there."
At the end of the year, we escaped the cold of New York and headed to the Caribbean.
When it actually happened, my cousin went to Havana (Cuba)
We were heading to the Bahamas (UK member states). Lol
It was only 2.5 hours by flight from New York.
There were really few Asians on paradise islands, where many white people visit.
Although the beach and blue sky that spread out in front of me were planned,
I caught a cold by the air condition of the hotel and stayed in my room forever.
Thanks to that, I was able to do some accumulated work, but my family was booing.
Anyway, while feeling thankful for being healthy,
I returned to New York without being quarantined.
I prepared for the Osechi (Japanese new year's food) in a hurry and welcomed the beginning of 2020.
The holiday was over without the time to watch the recorded Japanese TV show.
