「7本指のピアニスト」として知られる西川悟平氏が、
日本ツアー出発前に、プライベートコンサートを行った。
たった20名ほどが、彼の音色を独占できるという贅沢。
会場は、カーネギーホールすぐ近くにある豪華な邸宅。
こんな素敵な空間を、提供してくださる御友人も素晴らしい。
外は生憎の雨模様だったけれど、そこだけ温かな空気に包まれていた。
昨春に企画したJFK空港でのミニコンサートでも、弾いていただいた演目、
彼の奏でる「Time to Say Goodbye」を聴くと、涙が流れる。
別れのシーンの寂しさではなく、そこから溢れるエネルギーが琴線に触れるのだ。
最後は友人のバレリーナ達が、その場の即興で踊りをお披露目。
プロフェッショナルな人達が、ごく普通にそこにいる奇跡。
ニューヨークだからこその出会いに感謝。

Mr. Gohei Nishikawa, known as "a pianist with seven fingers",
Prior to departing Japan tour, he had a private concert.
A luxury that only 20 people can monopolize his piano.
The venue was a lavish mansion located close to Carnegie Hall.
His friend who provided such a nice space was also wonderful.
Outside was rainy thought, but the venue was only warm air in it.
My tears flow every time when hearing "Time to Say Goodbye" played by him.
Even he played it in the mini concert at JFK airport that we hold last spring.
It is not the loneliness of the goodbye scene, but the energy that overflows from it comes in shake my heart.
At the end ballerinas showed off their dance with improvisation on the spot.
Miracles where professional people are there quite normally.
I am thankful for the encounter in New York.
