1969年、ゲイの溜まり場だった「ストーンウォール・イン」を、
警察が一斉検挙した折に、ゲイのコミュニティが反対運動を遂行。
その時のデモ行進が、現在のプライドパレードの発祥となる。
すべての人が、より自分らしく、誇りを持って生きること。
LGBTQへの理解を深めることを目的として、
この時期、街をあげて、たくさんのイベントが行われる。
人権会議、映画祭、クルージング、屋外ヨガ、ミュージカル。
６色レインボーの旗やミニグッズを掲げての活動に、
街中が、賞賛の喝采やエールを送り続ける。
クライマックスのパレードでは、大手企業の参加が目立ち、
LGBTQを理解するという理念が、企業宣伝ツールにもなることが分かる。
次男の卒業式では「This is me.」を全員で歌っていたけれど、
「自分らしくあることに誇りを持とう」という精神が、
この国を支えているのだと、つくづく思う。

In 1969, As the police arrested all at once at "Stonewall Inn" which was a gathering place
of gay people, the gay community carried out the opposite activities.
The demonstration march then becomes the origin of the present Pride Parade.
All people should live more confidence and pridefully.

You can see that the idea of understanding LGBTQ also serves as a company propaganda tool.
In the second son's graduation ceremony, "This is me." was sung by all.
I think that the spirit of "take pride in being yourself" supports this country.
