昨夜に引き続き、今夜20時以降の外出禁止、戒厳令が携帯アラートを鳴らす。
ミネソタ州ミネアポリスでジョージ・フロイド氏が警官に絞め殺された。
「息ができない」「ママ」と言いながら死んでいった彼の無念を想い、
人種差別に対する抗議デモは、あっという間に全米に広がっている。
デモとは、抗議の行進であり、きちんと届出をして、平和的に行われる。
警察は遠巻きに彼らを見守り、ルールを逸している人に注意をするだけ。
31歳の男性が、16歳の若者に向かって叫ぶ。
「10年後も同じことを繰り返すな。お前たち世代が、違う解決策を考えてくれ」
ただ叫んで争うだけでは、何も解決しないのだ。
ニューヨークで起こっている暴動事件は、明らかに別の扇動者による。
デモ隊が暴徒になって、店の商品を略奪しているわけではなく、
地元のギャングや白人至上主義の左翼グループが、火炎瓶を投げているのだ。
大切なのは、人種差別されている人に寄り添う気持ち。
私たちアジア人も、これからさらに生きにくくなるのだろうか。
今夜もヘリコプターとサイレンの音で、眠れない。

Continuing from last night, mobile alerts set off that curfew and martial law after 8 p.m. tonight.
Mr. George Floyd was strangled to death by a police officer in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
As he died, saying, "I can't breathe," and "Mama," .
Thinking of his heart, protests against racism are quickly spreading across the United States.
A demonstration is a march of protest, neatly filed, and done peacefully.
The police just watch them from a distance and pay attention to those who are deviating from the rules.
A 31 year old man yelled at a 16 year old youth.
"Don't do it again in 10 years. You and your generation need to come up with a different solution."
Just shouting and fighting won't solve anything.
The riots taking place in New York are apparently due to a different instigator.
It's not like the protesters are going rogue and looting the store's merchandise.
The local gangs and white supremacist leftist groups are throwing flames.
The important thing is to stand by those who are being racially discriminated against.
Are we Asians going to have an even harder time living in the future?
Again tonight, I won't be able to sleep with the sound of helicopters and sirens.
