台風一過の日本から、美しい夕焼けの写真が届く。
空は続いているとはいえ、こんなに美しい光景は、ここではまず見られないことを、つくづく残念に思う。
今年は夏の真っ盛りに、過去のデータを全部失ってしまった。
打ちひしがれる気持ちを発しているうちに、友が一人、また一人と寄り添ってくれて、ほんの断片ではあるけれど、思い出の写真を送り届けてくれたりした。
そこにいた自分とは少し違った視点から取られた写真が、ジグソーパズルのように少しずつ、私の記憶を呼び戻してくれる。
10数年ぶりに見る祇園祭は、実に艶やかだった。
祭りのクライマックス、山鉾巡業を目前にして、京都の街全体がわさわさしていた。
約一か月も続く古都の祭りは、それだけで人々に生きる力を与えているのだと感じた。
祇園の夕暮れも、心のシャッターを押して覚えておこう。
日出ずる国日本は、同時に世界有数の夕暮れの美しい国だと、今だから言える。

The sky follows in the world, but I deeply regret that such a beautiful
sunset sight is not seen here.
I've lost all the data of the past years in this midsummer.
While I was feeling to be stricken, my dear friends snuggled me by
sending a photograph of memory, just a fragment.
Little by little like a jigsaw puzzle, photos that taken from a different
perspective a little brought back my memory.
Gion Festival in Kyoto which I saw first time in ten years was really
fascinating.
On the verge climax of the festival, Yamahoko tour, the entire city of
Kyoto had lost restless.
Festival of ancient city continue in about one months, I felt it has given
the power to live the people in it.
I'll remember the twilight of Gion to press the shutter of the mind.
Japan called the land of the Rising Sun, now I'd say it is also a country
of beautiful sunset in the world.
