墳丘にある祠

 



勅使塚古墳は畑の真ん中に位置し、横を農道が横切る。
墳頂には石の祠がある。


The Teshigashizuka burial mound is located in the middle of a field, with a farm road crossing beside it.
There is a stone shrine at the top of the mound.



直径30m、高さ3m、幅15mの周溝がある円墳


It is a round mound with a diameter of 30 meters, a height of 3 meters, and a circumference of 15 meters.



この古墳の名前の由来は「往古天皇の命により鹿島へ下向のおりこの地で病にかかり不帰の人となった勅使を村人たちが憐れんで塚を築き厚く葬った」という古老の口伝により勅使塚と称されている。


The origin of the name of this burial mound is the oral tradition of an old man who said, "The villagers took pity on an imperial envoy who fell ill and was never returned to his home while on his way to Kashima on the order of Emperor Ouko, and built a mound to bury him.



未発掘のため遺物は発見されておらず築造時期は不明


No relics have been found because it has not been excavated yet, and the date of its construction is unknown.
