(100) Yokose Tumulus in ShibuShi Town, Kagoshima Prefecture (Large 140-meter-long posterior frontal tomb)
横瀬古墳は、志布志湾の海岸線より約1km入りこんだ標高約7mの水田のど真ん中にある巨大な前方後円墳で全長128m、周濠を含めた古墳全長は192ｍ
後円部正面から
後円部直径65m・高さ15m，
くびれ部幅45m，
前方部最大幅65m，高さ13mで
後円部は削られて，竪穴式石室の天井石が露出している。
This is a huge post-anterior-round tomb located in a paddy field at an elevation of about 7 m, about 1 km from the coastline of Shibushi Bay.
It is 128m long, 65m in diameter and 15m high at the back, 45m wide at the neck, 65m wide at the front, and 13m high at the back.

二重周溝を持ちその最大幅は18ｍ・深さ1mの内溝、
最大幅20ｍの周庭帯、そして最大幅4ｍ・深さ1mの外溝に囲まれていた。
It was surrounded by a double perimeter ditch, an inner ditch with a maximum width of 18m and a depth of 1m, a perimeter garden zone with a maximum width of 20m, and an outer ditch with a maximum width of 4m and a depth of 1m.
鹿児島県内では唐人大塚古墳に次ぐ2番目の規模で、西日本屈指の前方後円墳だ。
It is the second largest tomb in Kagoshima Prefecture after the Tojin-otsuka tomb, and one of the best anterior and posterior round tombs in western Japan.
埋葬施設は明治時代に竪穴式石室で、石室内は朱塗で、直刀・勾玉・甲冑があったと伝えられている。
The burial facility was a pit-type stone chamber during the Meiji era (1868-1912), and the interior of the chamber was covered in vermilion paint, and it is said that there were straight swords, jade beads, and armor.
発掘調査で、土師器の甕形土器片・陶邑窯産（すえむらようさん）須恵器・円筒埴輪・形象埴輪（人物・鳥・馬・盾・草摺（くさずり）など）、滑石製品などが出土
Excavations revealed that there were pottery fragments of earthenware, Sue-mura pottery, cylindrical haniwa (terra-cotta tomb figurines), figurative haniwa (figures, birds, horses, shields, grass-covered haniwa, etc.), and smooth stone products.
