           熊本県山鹿市にあるチブサン古墳  (16)

江田船山古墳からオブサン・チブサン古墳を見ようと


I wanted to see the Obusan Chibusan Tumulus from the Eda Funayama Tumulus.



欲を出したせいで、チブサン古墳が日没直前ギリギリだった!

墳丘長45m、後円部直径23m、高さ7mの前方後円墳


The mound is 45m long, 23m in diameter at the back, and 7m high.



周溝も葺石もないが前方部と後円部の境に石人が立つ


There are no circumferential grooves or thatched stones, but there is a stone man standing on the border between the front part and the back part.



石人は、筑紫岩井一族の影響を感じる


The stone man suggests the influence of the Chikushi Iwai clan.

  

埋葬施設は横穴式石室で割石を積み上げた


The burial facility is a cross-hole type stone chamber made of broken stones.



羨道・前室・後室と複数の石室を持つ


It has several stone chambers, including an enclosed passage, a front chamber, and a back chamber.




石棺は寄棟造りの家型石棺(長さ2.3m、幅0.9m、高さ1.4m)


The sarcophagus is a house-shaped sarcophagus (2.3m long, 0.9m wide, and 1.4m high).



石室内に描かれた装飾文が有名な装飾古墳でもある。

正面の二つ並んだ円が女性の乳房に見えるからと言われている。
