広島県福山市にある二子塚古墳 （１１）
The Futagozuka burial mound in Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture. （１１）
築造は須恵器の型式編年からAC625ごろ（7世紀第１四半期）
It was built around 625 AC (first quarter of the 7th century), based on the type and date of Sue ware.
墳丘長68ｍ、後円部直径41ｍの前方後円墳
The mound is 68m in length and 41m in diameter at the back of the circle.
2段築成で周囲に幅4m、深さ1.8ｍの周溝を持つ
It is a two-tiered structure with a circumferential ditch around it that is 4 m wide and 1.8 m deep.
墳丘には埴輪や葺石は用いられていない
No haniwa (clay figurines) or thatched stones were used on the mound.
注目は前方と後方に大規模な横穴式石室を持つこと
It is noteworthy that it has large stone chambers in the front and back.
特に後円部は羨道から玄室まで全長14.9ｍ、高さ3.4ｍもあり
The back part in particular is 14.9m long and 3.4m high from the envelope to the basement.
両袖式と飾り壁（玄室の奥壁）が1枚の石で造られ
相当格式の高い造りといえる
It can be said that this is a very prestigious structure because both sleeves and the decorative wall (the back wall of the chamber) are made of a single stone.
石棺は畿内の前方後円墳に使用される石を使った組合わせ式
The sarcophagus is a combination of stones used in anterior and posterior tombs in the Kinai region.
副葬品では金銅製双龍環頭大刀柄頭の全国でも例のない意匠が注目された。
