Airbnbで台湾に住むアメリカ人の翻訳家が来てくれました。64歳です。
日本語の翻訳は少ししたことがあるそうですが、今は英語、中国語の翻訳をしているそうです。
日本語が少しわかるので英語ですぐに言えないことも日本語で言えていいコミュニケーションが取れました。
よく話す人で楽しかったです。
私たち夫婦の会話を聞いていて、それを繰り返し言ったのには大笑いました。私たちがけんかしていると思ったみたいです。
Through Airbnb, a 64 years old American translator who has lived in Taiwan 26years came. Now he translates Chinese into English, but some years ago he lived in Japan and translated Japanese into English.
He knew Japanese, so when some Enlish words didn't come out and I say them in Japanese, he mostly understood them. We had good communication.
He liked to make a joke. It made us laugh.

He visited many places before Choshi: Malaysia, Qatar, Netherlands, Missouri state in USA where he met his 92 years old father, and Santa Barbara where he met his daughter. This was the sixth time to go around globe. He has started going around the globe since 2015. He stopped during Covid 19 and started again this year.
I would like him to visit us again on the seventh time.
