＊Love is something you and I must have. We must have it because our spirit feeds upon it. We must have it because without it we become weak and faint.
（愛とは私やあなたにとって必要なもの。なぜなら私たちの心は愛を糧として生きているから。愛がないと人は弱くなり心が萎えてしまう。だから愛が必要なのだ）
＊Without love our self-esteem weakens. Without it our courage fails. Without love we can no longer look confidently at the world. We turn inward and begin to feed upon our responsibilities, and little by little we destroy ourselves.
（愛がなければ人は自尊心を損なう。愛がなければ勇気も出ない。愛がなければ強い気持ちで世の中に向き合うこともできない。人は内向きになり重荷を背負うようになり、やがては自分自身をも破壊してしまう
