就職したその年の7月頃に交通事故に遇いました。I was involved in a traffic accident in July in the year when I landed a job. 相手には責任がなく、私が悪かったのです。It was my fault, not the driver I was hit. 顔を複雑骨折して痛い思いをしましたが、I had a hard time because my face bones were utterly fluctuated, but I felt more sorry for the truck driver who was suspended his license for several months after the accident. 相手のトラック運転手さんが免許停止になってしまい、申し訳なかったです。
普段なら決してしない信号無視をしてしまったのが事故の原因でした。The accident happened when I crossed the intersection on the red light, which I had never done before. 運転免許を取るため、仕事を早退して教習所に行く途中、遅れそうになって焦ってしまい、I had to practice driving at a training school for my job as a sales person so I left my office earlier than usual that day. 遅刻したくなくて信号無視した結果、向こうから走ってきたトラックにぶつかりました。Being afraid to be late for the class, I was in a hurry. I was running on the red light when a truck was coming and hit me. 運が悪ければ死んでいたのでまだ良かったですが、I was lucky enough to be escaped from death, but the driver who drove safely on the green light must have shocked to see me riding a bike in front of his truck. 安全運転していたドライバーに迷惑をかけてしまいました。
事故の直後ははっきり意識があり、I was not unconscious just after the accident, trying to stand up, but somehow I couldn't. 立ち上がろうとしたのですが身体に力が入りませんでした。救急車で運ばれる途中、When an ambulance carried me, the rescue workers in the car talked about me saying something like '' We should carry her to some hospital which has special doctors who are good at plastic surgeries to treat her fluctuated face. She is in her twenties. 「若い女の子だから形成外科のうまい病院に運ぼう」とか話しているのが聞こえました。その時の救急救命師さんたちの賢明な判断のお陰で、Thanks to their clever decisions,
大怪我だったのに傷がほとんど残らずありがたかったです。my face recovered to the original shape with few scars although my fluctuation was severe enough.
微かに残った傷は大きく写真に撮り、These scars, barely noticed were photographed after the surgery for some money that was supposed to be paid by municipalities. 後で手続きをした記憶があります。一見気づかれない程度なのに恥ずかしかったですが、I was embarrassed because they were so little ones, but my bosses helped me about that.
それも会社の人が手伝ってくれました。
加害者にされてしまった運転手さんも何度もお見舞いに来てくれて、The driver who was unlucky to be involved by chance visited me at the hospital many times, worrying about my injury. いい人で良かったです。I was fortunate to have such a kind person as the driver in the accident.
事故に遭わないに越したことはないですが、You shouldn't experience such accidents, この経験のお陰で今バイクや車を運転する時非常に慎重になり、but in my case, the accident led me to become more careful when riding a motorcycle or driving a car after that, which let me safe. 安全に繋がっている気がします。痛い目に遭わないと分からないことがあるなぁと思います。
I guess the hard lesson taught me a lot.
