I spent a little more than usual yesterday shopping at a different grocery store. I usually buy daily food at a nearby supermarket which has lots of reasonably priced groceries. I have no complaints about the store, but wanted to try a cooperative store生協 for a change.

Usually, I use co-op's free delivery service, but it's not available during so called 'Golden Week.' So my husband drove me to the co-op store.

Co-op's marchandises are a little more expensive than their counterparts in other shops since their vegetables are organic or free of chemical fertilizers. Their seafood is more fresh than others, too. The shop's bakery corner is with ovens behind, so a variety of breads are just freshly baked. My husband loves fried fish sandwich, so we got one. Their breads are good,  of course, and their tartar sauce is delicious because they made it from scratch by mincing onions and cucumbers, mixed with mayonnaise and vinegar.

It was fun to see all produces at the store. Just shopping at a different location made us refreshed. You don't necessarily have to travel far to enjoy ourselves.
