Last Night
It started snowing nearly as soon as I got out of the office - not a good start,
but it soon faded away. Checked into the hotel, and was pleasantly suprised
how nice it was. I've had friends stay there before, and said it wasn't too great.
But it was good enough for me!
Got changed, then went down to Forbidden Planet to pick up anything
Street Fighter related. Came away with a Chun-Li comic. On the tube
over to Leicester Square, there was a mouse on the platform.
People were literally running away from the thing.
Poor mouse... only wanted some company...
Then headed over to the Trocadero, to go play Street Fighter IV... had 6 games...
won none. Found it hard to pull off supers. I'll blame it on the fact I'm
more of a pad man. Sticks don't really do it for me. Good crowd of people though.
Some guy was dominating with Balrog, then someone else had an 11 match
winning streak with Zangief.
Roll on next Friday.
Went back to the hotel about 9:30-10:00pm, had a bath, then watched "This Week"
- very exciting way to finish the day.
Woke up today at 8:00am, and now feel more tired than I usually do at 6:00am ![]()
There's Something About Johnny
I know this splendid bloke who owns a lovely cat that likes
to tickle his ankles now and again.
Where for art thou BamBam?
3 Things You Didn't Know About Johnny
He enjoys the musical output of "Joy Division" a most
excellent group if ever I did hear one (I've never heard anything by them) .
He is a keen connoisseur of Rustlers Burgers,
truly the best microwavable burger on the market.
He occasionally has a can of Stella Artois on a Friday night,
a great way to unwind after a hard days NNCQing.
That is all
Night in London
The company have splashed out and let me stay in a hotel for tonight (about time!)
So... later I shall be wandering the streets of London, probably stopping
by the Trocadero to have 1 (or 100) games of Street Fighter 4
Just hope there aren't too many other people there, I can't wait for my turn.
Been holding out for this game for about 18 months now, and heard that
a slightly dodgy shop in the city was selling copies for £100 yesterday.
I was really tempted, but don't think an extra £70ish quid is worth it...
