Food and Drink in China's TrainsDrinking water is available on the train but it will be hot, so bring your own bottles of water if you prefer drinking water which is not boiling. Most overnight trains have a restaurant and also sometimes a trolley where you can buy food such as Chinese pot noodles and drinks but better to buy these things before you board the train as then you are certain you will be able to eat, as well as paying a more sensible price in a shop
