先日、夫のバスケのイベントで
チームメイトであるネイティブアメリカ人と
会話をす機会があったの
The other day,
I had the opportunity to talk
with a Native American
teammate at my husband's basketball event.
記憶にある限りでの会話を
ご覧ください
Here's the conversation as best I can remember.
「Do you know the music?」
「The music? Yes, I know. ¥ellow bucks」
「¥ellow bucks? A song similar to this one sung by a lady.」
「A lady? Lady rapper?」
「Yeah.」
「I know lady rappers are LANA and Awich.」
「Ummmm, I think it was different name. I went to that live.」
動画を見せてくれた。
「I'm not sure. A local rapper?」
「I think so. Her name is ……. Mari !」
Apple musicで調べて・・・
「Ahhhhhh!! I know her !」
「Yes! I took a photo.」
ツーショット写真を見せてくれた。
「Wow, nice.」
「Yeah. トモダチノトモダチ」
「Haha!! equal トモダチ！lol」
文法も何もないし流暢とは程遠いけど
I don't have any grammar and
I'm far from fluent.
それでも伝えようという気持ちで
会話ができたのが成長の１つかなと
Even so,
I think being able to have a
conversation with the intention
of communicating is one sing of growth.
相手が言ってることも
全ては聞き取れず所々だったし
自分が言いたいことも
ほとんど単語単語だったけど
会話は成り立ったし、
これくらい簡単な会話なら
文法が完璧でなくても出来る
I couldn't hear everything the other parson was saying,
and I could only say
what I wanted to say word for word,
but we were able to have a conversation,
and you can have such a simple conversation
even if your grammar isn't perfect.
