Actor Jang Geun Suk has gone through various ups and downs during his entertainment career, including his recent one regarding suspected tax evasion. After that incident, his appearance on tvN‘s “Three Meals a Day” was edited out out. Although the suspected tax invasion turned out to be his agency’s mistake, the star hasn’t appeared much publicly until now.
With the start of the new year, Jang Geun Suk has entered his 30s (in Korean reckoning) and also the fresh new start of his career. He has taken over Mnet‘s “Produce 101″ as a MC.
He will also be resuming his acting activities for the first time after three years. He is to star in the upcoming SBS drama “Daebak.” Jang Geun Suk says he’s determined to give it his best for this drama since his past few have not gotten the best results.
During an interview, he stated, “‘Hwang Jin Yi‘ aired in 2006, and now 10 years later I will be filming ‘Daebak.’ I kept reminiscing back to that time. I’m going all in on this drama. I have nothing to lose. I’m going to show people something at least.”
When asked, “What is your resolution for the new year?” Jang Geun Suk answered, “Being more recognized domestically. I’ve promoted overseas for a long time but I want to promote domestically this year and recover my pride as an actor.”
