Today,
I got a very sweet heart
from Yukorin-san’s mother again.
Garland chrysanthemum that was grown in their yard
Kinpira lotus root
Cooked flatfish
Turnip topped with a starchy sauce
You may have also experienced
crying while eating.
For overwhelming joy.
For a lunch box that your mother gave you
when you left your hometown
For a porridge that your friend cooked for you
when you were sick alone at home.
I never experienced the moving-to-Tokyo event,
nor I never lived alone,
but probably my feelings now are just like those.
I feel her love in these dishes.
It was a very heartful and delicious meal.
