One of my motivations behind starting this blog

was a letter from someone.

It was right after my husband’s press interviews

about my disease.

“I’ve been also receiving cancer treatment,

but ever since I had never cried once.

But your husband’s interview enabled me to weep about my cancer finally.

Thank you so much, Mao.”

I didn’t like a school.

But every morning when I saw Ms. Kay Yoshida (a weather reporter of Mezamashi TV)

cheerfully saying:

“Please bring an umbrella today. o-Kay??”

then I felt perky like:

“o-Kay… o-Kay... I am going to school now.”   J

I still remember that every morning my mother and older sister

called me like, “Kay is now on TV!”,

then I rushed to sit in front of TV.

That is actually how I aspired to do the job in broadcasting.

I also wanted to lift someone’s spirit.

My ideal “good” was

to convey a sense of cheer, sparkle, happiness and positive.

But that letter taught me

even not-so-positive or sad news

could put the light on in someone’s heart.

In other words,

aaaaanything could be pooooossible.

We all have likes and dislikes.

But there should be no good or bad.

So,

I just live each day to the fullest.

Nobody can evaluate one’s way of being.

There is never a good or bad way to live.

Not because it is good to be positive.

It is just because I like being positive.

Even though I feel pessimistic sometimes,

I just come back to who I am

and stay positive again.

Just a thought in midafternoon...
