When I was diagnosed with cancer
and accepted it myself,
some part of me felt relieved.
For the last one and a half years,
I was always feeling tired
so I barely got by every day.
I was relieved to finally find out that
I was sick enough to get cancer.
Now if I think about it,
there might have been something
that I could do to prevent cancer.
I should have listened more seriously to advice
from my husband who always cares for my health.
But, I was not necessarily lazy.
That was the best that I could do back then.
Yes, this is the life.
There’s no use in asking what if.
Yet,
we still face our own “what ifs”.
