覚えられなかった単語で塾の例文をつくることをしています。

今日から熟語編
熟語は日本語でいう慣用句は四字熟語だから覚えるのが大変。
例文を参考にイメージしてみてね。
🧠 1. fall back on（〜に頼る）
例文：
When students struggle with a problem, they can fall back on basic formulas.
（問題に苦戦したときは、生徒たちは基本公式に頼ることができます。）
🧠 2. hold off（延期する、先延ばしにする）
例文：
We had to hold off the parent-teacher meeting due to the typhoon.
（台風のため、保護者会を延期しなければなりませんでした。）
🧠 3. rule out（除外する）
例文：
We can't rule out the possibility that he needs more time to adjust.
（彼が適応に時間がかかる可能性を除外することはできません。）
🧠 4. fall for（〜に引っかかる、恋に落ちる）
例文：
He fell for a prank during our April Fools’ lesson.
（彼はエイプリルフールの授業でいたずらに引っかかりました。）
🧠 5. miss out（見逃す、機会を逃す）
例文：
If you skip today’s class, you’ll miss out on an important review session.
（今日の授業を欠席すると、大事な復習回を逃すことになるよ。）
🧠 6. come down with（〜にかかる）
例文：
Two students came down with the flu right before the mock test.
（模試の直前に、2人の生徒がインフルエンザにかかりました。）
🧠 7. shake up（衝撃を与える、改革する）
例文：
The new curriculum shook up the way we teach math.
（新しいカリキュラムが、私たちの数学の教え方に大きな変化をもたらしました。）
🧠 8. hold out（持ちこたえる、差し出す）
例文：
He held out until the final round of the math competition.
（彼は数学大会の最終ラウンドまで持ちこたえました。）
🧠 9. let up（和らぐ、弱まる）
例文：
Once the rain lets up, we’ll reopen the outdoor study area.
（雨が弱まったら、屋外の自習スペースを再開します。）
🧠 10. call for（要求する、必要とする）
例文：
This level of difficulty calls for extra effort from the students.
（この難易度は、生徒により一層の努力を求めます。）
🧠 11. come into（（財産などを）受け継ぐ）
例文：
She came into a large inheritance and decided to start a learning center.
（彼女は多額の遺産を受け継ぎ、学習センターを開くことを決めました。）
🧠 12. dispose of（〜を処分する）
例文：
Please dispose of any used worksheets before leaving the classroom.
（教室を出る前に、使い終わったプリントは処分してください。）
🧠 13. chip in（お金や労力を出し合う）
例文：
All the teachers chipped in to buy a graduation gift for the students.
（先生たちみんなで卒業生へのプレゼントにお金を出し合いました。）
🧠 14. stick with（〜を続ける、〜にこだわる）
例文：
He stuck with the same study method and finally passed the entrance exam.
（彼は同じ勉強法を貫いて、ついに入試に合格しました。）
