寂しいのと買い物疲れでホテルでディナーまで一休みして。。
外に出るとウェディングフォトを撮るカップルが。
私達が泊まったホテルはあのセルジュ　ゲンズブールのおうちのすぐ前なのです。

Took a little nap after loneliness and exhaustion from shopping took over me!
When we went back out there was a wedding photo shoot in front of Serge Gainsbourg's house. It's right across the street from our hotel.

ディナーまで時間があったのでサンジェルマンデプレ周辺をお散歩してたら、
大きな噴水のある広場を発見。
しばらくここでぼーっと座る。w

We had a little time until dinner, so took a walk around San Germain des Pres.
Found a little square with a giant fountain in the middle.
Spaced out for a while...

今日のディナーは日本の高校時代の友達と会う事になっているのだ！
彼女は数ヶ月前からパリで暮らしている。
メトロの出口近くで待ち合わせして、１年ぶりの再会した時嬉しくて、不思議で楽し過ぎだった！
彼女は英語もそこそこ話せるので、テリーもほっと一安心。(^▽^;)
ステーキとポテト食べ放題のお店へ！（この旅行の後はもちろん慌ててダイエット開始。）
すごい人気なんだー。

We're meeting one of my best friend from highschool in Japan!
She just moved to Paris a few months ago.
We met up by the Metro exit and we squeaked like good old Japanese girls.
When I saw her there it was so strange and exciting!
She can speak a bit of English too so I'm sure Terry was relieved. (^▽^;)
We went to a Steak and Frites restaurant. (Yes diet started right after this trip.)
It was pretty popular.

この緑のソースが自分としては怪し過ぎて半信半疑だったのだけど、
なかなか美味しかったのです。
沢山ワインを飲んで、バーに移ってさらにワイン。。。

I was kinda scared of this green sauce, but it was really pretty good!
And we just drank wine and talked our night away, and drank some more.

「毎日毎日ワインばかり飲んでるよ。。。」と友達。w
私達は最後にお互いの日常生活にいたのが１６の頃なので、そこから泊まっちゃってるらしく、
お互い大人になってるのにびっくり。
まだ留学してアメリカに来る前、いつも一緒に笑い転げてた日々が懐かしいなぁ。
パリで頑張っている彼女はかっこよくて、本当に嬉しい夜でした。
次は一晩中飲むぞ～～～～(＝⌒▽⌒＝)

"I drink so much wine here every day. I mean every single day..." says my friend.
When we were part of each other's everyday life, we were only 16.
It seems like time between us has frozen since then, it's funny to us how "grown up" we both appear to be.
The days we spent together everyday after school laughing till it hurts, it's one of my happiest memories.
It was a happy, inspiring night.
Next time we shall drink all night! (＝⌒▽⌒＝)

ヨーロッパ家族旅行 #.9 / Europe Family Trip #9.

今日は父母が日本へ帰ってしまう～。(＞_＜)
私達はもう一泊して明日のお昼の飛行機です。
夕方の飛行機まで時間があるので、残りの半日を楽しむのだ！

Mom and Dad are going back to Japan today! (＞_＜)
We're staying one more night and flying back tomorrow.
Must enjoy rest of the day to fullest!

今日もいいお天気。
ディナークルーズで一番口コミの評価が良かった船がとまってました。
普通のクルーズも楽しいけど、次はこれにも乗ってみたいなー。

Yet another nice day.
Spotted a dinner cruise boat resting on Seine...this one had the best review out of all dinner cruise in Paris. Next time!

まずはサンジェルマン　デ　プレの老舗カフェ　カフェ　ドゥ　マゴで朝ご飯。
テラス席が気持ちよい。

Breakfast at the famous Cafe de Magot.
It was nice sitting in the sun.

そして近くにあるドラクロワの美術館へ。
大通りから中に入った、ひっそりした場所にありました。
彼が実際にアトリエとして使っていた場所です。
こじんまりした所で、人も私達以外に２、３人いるだけ。
ゆっくり見る事が出来ました。

We went to Delacroix's museum nearby.
It was in the building where he used as his studio.
The building was in a quiet courtyard off main street in San Germain des Pres.
The museum was small and intimate.
There were only a few other people inside besides us.
It was so nice to be able to take our time and take in art for change.

チュイルリー宮園でしばらくひなたぼっこ。。。
あっという間に時間が迫って来る～～。

Rested our tired feet in Tuileries Garden.
Wish I could take a little nap here...but time is already running out.

最後にもう一回シャンパン飲んじゃおうと言う事になり、
ロワシーバスを待っている間に近くのカフェでデザートも食べちゃいました。(＝⌒▽⌒＝)

We each had one last glass of champagne while waiting for the Roissy Bus.
Also munched on some last minute parisian sweets. (＝⌒▽⌒＝)

うー楽しかったなぁー。

今年は日本へ里帰りする代わりに家族でヨーロッパ旅行したわけなのだけど、
テリーもうちの両親とたっぷり一緒の時間を過ごせて本当に良かった。
せっかく家族になったのに、なかなか会えないもんね！
次は一緒にどこに行けるかな。
楽しみにしてるね。心に残る幸せな旅をありがとう。

Ahhh. I hate saying goodbye to my parents.
It's been 12 years since I moved out, but it just doesn't get easy does it?
We decided to have this family trip instead of me going home this year.
I'm glad Terry got to spend some quality time with my parents.
Can't wait to find out our next destination together.
Thanks for such a successful trip!

両親がバスに乗るのを見届け、そのままオペラのユニクロヘ行っていっぱい買っちゃったよ～(^▽^;)

We made sure they got on Roissy safely, and headed straight to Uniqlo to over spend...
Oops. (^▽^;)

ヨーロッパ家族旅行 #.8 / Europe Family Trip #8.

このディナーはエッフェル塔近くのLes Cocottes de Christian Constantに行きました。
予約無しのお店なので、着くとすでに開店を待つ人達が列になっている～。
だけどすぐに座る事が出来ました。

For dinner we went to Les Cocottes de Christian Constant.
They don't take reservations so you have to stand in line with other hungry people.
There were good amount of people there but we were seated pretty much right after they opened. Awesome.

多分お客さんの大半が観光客で、レストランの中の会話はほとんど英語！
ちょっとほっとする。。。(^▽^;)
英語のメニューに加えて、なんと日本語のメニューもあったのだ。
レストランの名前の通りココット料理のお店で、シャンパンと一緒に美味しくいただきました。

気づけば父が隣に座っているアメリカ人の夫婦と英語で話していて、みんなでおしゃべりして楽しい時間でした。
父は「あの人はすごく人なつこい雰囲気を漂わせていて、誰とでもすぐに話しちゃう所がおばあちゃんみたいだったねぇ。」と言っていたけど、
私から見たら父こそ誰にでも（しかも英語なのに？？）話しかけちゃう所が祖母そっくりだと思う。（‐＾▽＾‐）

I'd say most of the people here were tourists.
Most of conversation was in English!
They had English menu, and surprisingly Japanese menu. Whoa.
Food was delicious and we enjoyed the champagne.

Conversed with people sitting next to us in English.
My dad was the initiator though. He talks to pretty much anyone.
Even when he's talking in English. （‐＾▽＾‐）

ディナーの後はセーヌ川のナイトクルーズヘ行きました。
ミュージアムパスにくっついてくるバトーパリジャンです。
ライトアップされたパリの街は幻想的でとっても素敵。
川縁でぶらぶらしてるグループがいっぱいいて楽しそうだった～。

After dinner we went on a night cruise down Seine.
Just a free Bateau Parisien sight seeing cruise came with our museum pass.
It was beautiful as we all suspect it to be...
There were groups of kids hanging out by the river and it looked like a perfect hang out spot with a little brown bag.
