Next day we took Eurostar to Paris from St. Pancras.
Good bye London! Thank you London!（‐＾▽＾‐）
パリに着いてみると、ロンドンよりずーーっとあったかい！
ジャケットを脱いで、サンジェルマンデプレのホテルにチェックインし、早速向かったのは。。。
ルーブル！
When we arrived in Paris, it was sooooo much warmer than London!
We took off a layer each, headed to our hotel in Saint Germain De Pre to check in.
And then we were finally there. Louvre!
話では聞いていたけれど中に入るとそのスケールの大きさにすでにちょっとくらくら。。。(・・；)
I knew it was gonna be big, but I almost fainted when we walked inside. (・・；)
ルーブルでは父の後に着いて、とりあえずみんなで大物を攻めて行きます。
普段はルネサンスにあまり興味がなくて、いきなり印象派の館へ行って満足な私達ですが、
「お父さんの解説を聞きながら回るのは面白かった。」とテリーも言ってくれました。
しかし！父が所々でその作品について解説してくれるので、
がんばってテリーに訳すのだけど
「それだけ？？今お父さんは絶対もっと色々話してたー！」と疑われるのだった。
話してる内容は同じなのです！
父の解説にはストーリー性があって、ゆっくりとそれを伝えてくれる。
私はテリーが会話に同時に参加できてると思える様に、早く説明してあげなきゃと思って、ピンポイントだけ拾っていたからそういう結果になったのでは。。。
テリーとうちの両親が同じ言語で理解し合えたら、私の訳よりテリーはずっと面白い事が聞けたんじゃないかなと思って反省。。。でもでも徐々に隙間を埋めれる様に、頑張り続けるよ！(＞＜;)
At Louvre my dad played the part of tour guide for us, so we followed him from one masterpiece to another.
We usually skip Renaissance and head straight to Impressionism,
but it was a fun experience to look at these artworks while dad explained to us the back story of each piece.
However, Terry was suspicious that I wasn't translating everything.
"Nooo. Is that all he said? I'm pretty sure he was talking a lot longer than you just did! Wah!" He says.
I think it seemed that way since my dad was talking about each piece as if he was telling a story.
I tried to translate as fast as possible so he wouldn't feel left out of the conversation, and picked highlights to make sure he gets all the facts.
I can't help but to imagine what if Terry and my family could communicate in same language...I think it'd been even more interesting and exciting for him to listen to Dad without my filter. But I'll keep trying! I'll keep trying to make this gab smaller.(＞＜;)
ルーブルは建物自体もすごかった。どこを見ても気を抜いてない感じ。
体力の限界まで館内を徘徊し、外に出るともう日が沈んでいた～～。
Architecture of Louvre itself was mind blowing. Every corner you look, it was full of history.
We roamed around until we couldn't walk anymore.
When we got outside, it was already after sunset.
ホテルまで、橋を渡って帰ります。
きれいな夜のパリ。
明日は一体どんな事が待っているのか、わくわくさせてくれます。
We crossed the bridge to go back to our hotel.
Parisian night is a beauty.
Makes me excited for what tomorrow may bring.
