Do you know how to tell without actually calculating if a number is divisible by 9?
For example,
This number is divisible by 9 without remainders.
How about if you became in charge of managing a baseball team where everyone has his/her own favorite number as the uniform number, and if you were told by the coach to divide the team at this instant into two groups determined by whether the uniform number is divisible by 9 or not, how would you carry it out?
The answer can be obtained quickly if you add up each digit as a number and divide the sum by 9. If you can, the original number is divisible by 9.
