An example of personal seal which can be registered

In case of foreign membership besides the kanji area

The following person who has that in example :Residence Certificate can register personal seal from 1 to 7.

• Name, "ITABASHI MARSHA RACHADA"
• A common name, "itabashi Marsha"
• Katakana transcription of Name, "ITABASHIMASHARACHADA"
  (Note :ITABASHI is last, by a name and MARSHA, a first name and RACHADA make it a middle name.)

1. Personal seal in "ITABASHI MARSHA RACHADA" Name Note: "Itabashi Marsha" "ITABASHIMASHA" is also possible.
2. "ITABASHI MARSHA" Personal seal which omitted a middle name
3. "ITABASHI" only his personal seal Note: "Itabashi" "ITABASHI" is also possible.
4. "MARSHA" Personal seal only with a name Note: "Marsha" is also possible.
5. "ITABASHI RACHADA" Personal seal of a family and a middle name
6. "MARSHA RACHADA" Personal seal of a name and a middle name
7. "I.M.R" Personal seal of initials (The initials except for a middle name are also possible.)
   During a note:, "." And, something which can be recognized as a family, a name and a combination of (middle name) by settlement.

When China and South Korea are foreign membership in a kanji area.

The following person who has that in example :Residence Certificate can register personal seal from 8 to 11.

• Name, "Chun Changchun" (on the passport, "张长spring")
• A common name, "itabashi Taro"

8. "张长Spring" or "Chun Changchun" Personal seal in Name
9. "张" Or "Chun" only his personal seal
10. "长Spring" or "Changchun" Personal seal only with a name
11. "Itabashi Taro" Personal seal of a common name (It's possible only by a family of a common name and a name.)

Remarks

• Seal impression where order of the family, the name and the middle name is replaced can also be registered about Name besides the kanji area.
• When hoping for stamp registration by a common name and katakana transcription of Name, it's the condition to register on Residence Certificate.
• A person of foreign membership in a kanji area can't do katakana transcription of Name because it's possible to mention a kanji name on Residence Certificate.

An example of personal seal which can't be registered

Personal seal which comes under one of them of 5 from following 1 can't be registered.

1. Something occupation and qualification show together with other matters.
2. Something by which the size in seal impression fits into a square of a side of length eight-millimeter film or something by which a side of length doesn't fit into 25 millimeters of square.
3. Something difficult of the reading by which seal impression is something indistinct and the character.
4. Something to tend to transform like a mark of a rubber stamp and a ring, something which has no outer frames and the one which breaks off.
5. Personal seal where personal seal with a picture and photograph and an outer frame are personal seal with the design and a reverse sculpture.

Precautions 

• Please don't use as a registration mark as much as possible because distinction with a similar mark is difficult for personal seal from which something to which seal is identical is produced in quantities.
• It isn't possible to register in personal seal other people register already. (personal seal which can be registered is one person and one.)

In case of foreign membership besides the kanji area

The following person who has that in example :Residence Certificate can't register personal seal from 1 to 6.

• Name, "ITABASHI MARSHA RACHADA"
• A common name, "itabashi Marsha"
• Katakana transcription of Name, "ITABASHIMASHARACHADA"
  (Note :ITABASHI is last, by a name and MARSHA, a first name and RACHADA make it a middle name.)

1. "RACHADA" Personal seal only of a middle name
2. "I.R" family and personal seal of initials of a middle name
3. "M.R" Personal seal of initials of a name and a middle name
4. "Marr" family or personal seal only of the part of the name
5. "Marsha MARSHA" Personal seal which wrote a common name and a name
6. "Itabashi MARSHA" Name and personal seal which combined a common name (The combination of Name and katakana transcription is also bad.)

When China and South Korea are foreign membership in a kanji area.

The following person who has that in example :Residence Certificate can't register personal seal of 7 and 8.

• Name, "Chun Changchun" (on the passport, "张长spring")
• A common name, "itabashi Taro"

7. "张Taro" :Name and personal seal which combined a common name
8. "Tarou": Seal impression of a kanji different from a common name

Others

Stamp registration will be "Name" in registration of a stay card and a special permanent residents certificate (including old Certificate of Alien Registration). Therefore when there is Name change when changing to a stay card, stamp registration will be sometimes abolition.
When an example :Certificate of Alien Registration top "Chun Ball lotus" and a transcribed way changed to a stay card, and Name was a "ZHANG YULIAN" chisel, stamp registration as "Chun" will be abolition.
