【解説】

アメリカのプログレッシヴ・ロックバンド、カンサスの絶頂期1977年に発売され、前作の「永遠なる序曲」（Leftoverture）とともに、カンサスの代表作とされるアルバムである「暗黒への曳航」（Point Of The Know Return）に収録され、シングルヒットもしたカンサスを代表する曲の一つである。。

ものすごい虚無感で押し通される詞である。どんなにがんばっても所詮時は過ぎ去り、何も残らない、何も残せないのだと歌う。夢を持つことも歌を歌うことも結局意味がないじゃないか、それなら風に吹かれて飛んでいる埃と同じじゃないかと。
