My grand-ma was a real Geisha when she was young,
and after, she build [料亭(ryoutei)JP traditional style restaurant/hotel],
and became mistress for many reasons.
That's why I knowing about JP traditions and old-rules little bit more than other ppl.
My grand-ma"Matsue-san"(matsue meaning "river pine" or "pine creek",very geishatic name.) was born in Meiji-era.
(Iki de inase) means cool sexy flirt person with strong fighting instinct"is very right word for her,
because she was just this typical very beauty woman.
but I think her inside was very evil.
I think a portrait [歌妓(kagi)*Geishias who can sing called this name* Taishou-era 15] that painted by JP painting artist [甲斐庄楠音(Tadaoto Kainosyou) 1894-1978] is just a miller of her youth.
*Matsue-san played 三味線(shamisen) very well*
That's why I'm feeling full of nostalgia and thinking about her lifetimes when I looking this portrait.
