Hello :) My name is Cashanna, however most people call me “Cash” instead. Whichever is easier for you is fine by me. I was born and raised on the beautiful island of Guam located just a few hours south of Japan. This tropical island is known for great beaches and lush green scenery so it’s perfect for swimming and hiking. Guam is an American territory so growing up I felt like I got to see both American and Chamoru (local Guam) cultures.

I came here in September 2022. The most common question I get asked here is why did I choose Japan. Since Guam and Japan are so close in distance, it has been a favorite vacation spot for my family since I was a small child. I remember always wanting to stay longer when it was time to go home and feeling like there were more great experiences to have. So, after graduating from the University of Guam, deciding to move to Japan was an easy decision. This is my first time in Tochigi prefecture and so far, it has been quite unforgettable. Guam only has two seasons, rainy and not rainy so seeing fall leaves, snow, and cherry blossoms was completely new.

When it comes to teaching, there is no “one size fits all” approach. Every student is different and there are a variety of different learning styles. That’s why it is important to be flexible and patient in the classroom. I look forward to working with you and helping you achieve your English educational goals whether it be for work, school, or personal. Every day is a great day to learn something new so why not do it together.
