週が明けてからすっかり梅雨らしくなってきました。

Thanks for coming to our yoga class last Sunday.
Last Sunday was a beautiful day but this week is rainy.
How’s your life in the rainy season?

Next class will take place on upcoming Sunday, June 16th, from am 10:00～, at Asagaya Chiiki Kumin Center.

昨日の朝、フィットネスのクラスに行く途中、林の中で猫に呼び止められました。
小さなほら穴の入り口で雨宿りしながら、いつも餌をくれる人を待っていたようです。
いつもその場所で猫ちゃんたちに食べ物を上げている人がいるんですね。
Last day morning, I was called after by a cat when I walked through a grove on my way to my yoga class.
That was a rainy morning. She sat down in a small cave. I think she was waiting someone who gave her some food. Because I saw someone who feed cats at the place several times.
あいにく食べ物は持っていませんでしたが、次はにぼしでも用意しておこうかな、とか考えています。
Unfortunately, I don’t have any food at that time.
But I promised her.
“I will bring some food like dried fishes for you next time”
And, I said good bye.
猫に呼び止められて、なんだかいいことがあるような予感がしました。
江戸時代、世田谷の豪徳寺の前を、幕府の偉いお侍さんが通りかかった時、同じように猫に呼び止められたのだそうです。
同じような雨の日で、その猫はお寺の門からお侍さんを招いていました。
そのお侍さんも猫が好きだったので、門の方に歩いて行ったら、なんとびっくり、それまで歩いていた道に雷がおちたのです。
お寺の猫に救われたことから、お侍さんは豪徳寺に寄付をして建て直したといわれます。
そして、これが招き猫の発祥なのだそうです。
I have a hunch that something good is going to happen.
I remember an old story.
In Edo Period, a samurai of high rank in the bakufu(government) walked by in front an old temple in some rainy morning.
And he was called after by a cat from the entrance of the temple.
The cat beckoned him into the temple.
He walked up to the cat, soon after, a lightning hit on the ground that he walked on a few seconds before.
The samurai was saved from the lightning by the cat.
昔の人はこんなふうに自然に動物とコミュニケーションしていたのかもしれません。
How wonderful to communicate with animals is!
